Emma and Gracie have been best friends since Gracie was born. They laugh hard together, play together, sing together, play the violin together and sometimes fight together. We had an off-day today. Maybe it was because we have been waking up at 5:00 a.m. to do a paper route for their cousin's fiance'. Maybe they need more sleep. Maybe there is something in the air, or in the water. Whatever it is- it's not good.
This morning we finished the paper route and came home to eat breakfast and read scriptures and pray together as a family. I sent them to their room to tidy up and get packed! Mom and Dad are leaving on a 3 day trek with Tyler and they are going to Uncle J's and Aunt Wendy's with Bryce. I have no idea what started the problem, but there were tears and sad faces. So, I did what any parent would have done and asked each girl what happened. Then, I sent them back to their room, giving them instructions on what needed to be done. Just a short time later, there were more tears. That's when I sent them to 'TIME OUT'. "Emma you sit here!" and then I pointed to the precise spot and then said "Gracie you sit here!" Of course they are on opposite sides of the room. Then I set the timer on the oven and walked away. I then returned a few minutes later with a sheet of paper for each girl and told them they had to write 20 things they liked about each other.
